Thanks for this update script Bernie. It implements HungryBear's  most recent recommendations and is sounding really sweet in my setup.

As always, thanks to HungryBear and Oryaaa for their outstanding work.

Many thanks to Oryaa for ES59 and to HungryBear for the TC patch. I‘m listening since three hours. Till now the sound is definitely better than MC299/LE61 or ES55 alone. Upper and lower end very extended, in the same time mids full and sweet. Usually it’s getting still better in the forthcoming days.

I used my modified script (post #4560 above) to run single copies of ES55 (Network service) and ES59 (Local service) on both my Control and Audio-PCs. Normally I would work through a series of test tracks to gauge impacts on sound quality. But this ES combination had such good balance, clarity and depth that I ended up listening to the entire album for each test track. The combination of ES55 and ES59, running according to HungryBear's recommendations, is now the standard for my system.

Many thanks to Oryaaaaa for developing ES55 and ES59 and to HungryBear for his recommendations regarding their implementation and for thoughtfully providing the TrustedClean patch.

Here is a quick TrustedClean patch for those who don't want to edit the code manually:

https://mega.nz/fold...zyiBvCGL0rbrwtA

1. Download TrustedClean5559Patch.zip

2. Extract into the TrustedClean folder, overwrite the old files

3. Copy both ES55 and ES59 into the MCLE folder

4. Restart TrustedClean

This will work only with ES55 and ES59, no other versions

Sorry, I tried to download but it says that the zip folder is not valid on pc control, while on pc audio works

If it loads a double instance for each es what's the problem? Thank you

I listened to the ES59 last night.
My honest opinion?
It only helps with inexpensive systems.

But anyway, you don't have to give me anything. But the thing with Oryaaa, was just another step to learn!

Believe me.

As good as the new JPlayFemtoApp sounds, there has never been for me. Only Windows 2012r2. So pleasantly quiet, so clear about it, so neutral. Thank you, thank you, thank you... to Josef & Marcin.

Greetings mkmind

Hi maxst67,

I suggest you try, on both PCs, the script I created that incorporates HungryBear's patch. See post #4560 at the bottom of page 228. That will eliminate the need to download the zip folder and enable you to easily run single copies of ES55 and ES59 on each PC. Just copy the script cmd file to the C: drive and Run as administrator. You will also need Imdisk installed on the C: drive. See my "Guide for Creating a RAM Disk that Uses TrustedClean to Run MajiorityClean and LemonadeElitest or ExerciseStabilizer or ExtremeStabilizer" for a link to download Imdisk.

Cheers,

Bernie

ES60 seems to be an enhanced version of es58, with a little less parsing power than es59 but a little more layers. (I didn't see any particular advantage in es55, I deleted es55 after I got es56.) It would be nice if es61 were quieter and faster. Listen for a few days and decide if es59 or es60 is better

After listening for an hour, there was a feeling like ES53 ES54 dizziness, the sound field seemed to fall down the slope, as if there was no middle or high pitch, only the bass hum

If you listen to the soprano and the violin, the high notes that should be sharp aren't there

Es60 The first hour was a good experience

This is probably because of my cpu(E3-1220V2 Ivy Bridge)

Right now I'm using Es59 and es60 in MCLE folder,

it sounds fine, I don't know if I'll lose the high notes in an hour

The bass of ES55 + ES60 makes me stare in disbilief. ES55 + ES60 doesn't necessarily go deeper than ES55+ES59, but ES60 fills the gap that ES56-ES59 had in the upper bass/lower mids, which allows to hear layers, textures and overtones I did not hear before.

But 55+60 also adds some extra presence and air, which makes it more balanced than 55+59. 55+59 was more on the warm side. 55+60 is not overly bright, but balanced.

I'm also hearing a bit more clarity across the spectrum, better transients, longer and clearer reverb tails...

55+60 is very significant improvement in every aspect. Still don't like ES60 alone, though.

I have modified my script for automatically creating a RAM disk, running TrustedClean and installing single copies of ExtremeStabilizer 55 (as a Network Service) and ExtremeStabiliser 59 (as a Local Service) (post #4560 above) so that it now installs single copies of ExtremeStabilizer 55 (as a Network Service) and ExtremeStabilizer 60 (as a Local Service).

To run the script you need to have:

1. Imdisk installed on the C: drive. You can download Imdisk here;

2. "HungryBears Trusted Clean" folder containing TrustedClean20.exe on the C:drive. HungryBear has provided this link to the post containing TrustedClean 2.0 download URLs;

3. Extreme Stabilizer 55 and Extreme Stabilizer 60 folders on the C: drive with ExtremeStabilizer55.exe or ExtremeStabilizer60.exe copied into the appropriate folder;

4. HungryBear's TrustedClean5560Patch folder on the C: drive (see post #4571 above for the download URL).

When the script runs TrustedClean, select to have ES55 and ES60 installed as Multi-User: Network on BOTH PCs if you are using a dual PC system. The script may install two copies of each on the Audio-PC if you select Local service when Trusted Clean runs. It happened once to me, but this may have been a glitch. Still, better safe than sorry.

The link for this version of the script is: https://drive.google...?usp=share_link

Again many thanks to Oryaaaaa for developing ES55 and ES60 and HungryBear for developing and sharing the TrustedClean installer, his findings, scripts and the TrustedClean5560Patch.

I have managed to install the new script that runs ES55/ES60. I only have time for a quick test listen but it is sounding really sweet, replaying a DSD64 rip of the Mobile Fidelity SACD of the 'Dire Straits' SACD.

On the Audio PC, should I select Network/System setting in TC to avoid more than one instance of ES55/ES60 showing up in Process Lasso?

First of all, a big thank you to Oryaa, Hungrybear and Berniek for their continued and generous efforts to help us all achieve better and better sound quality.

I am going to diverge from the majority of the feedback to date:  in my system I get the best sound quality with ES60 alone  - or ES58 alone -  on the Control PC

[sadly,  I have to run ES42 on Audio PC due to its obsolete, 1st gen, i3 CPU that does not run any ES version from 43 on...will upgrade when I find a moment]

Note that I get a much better sound quality  with Process Lasso OFF (completely OFF).    ES priority is set in other ways to Above Normal on Control PC and Idle on  Audio PC.    Fidelizer Core Isolation for Audio is turned ON.

Also, I found that using ThrottleStop to force "High Performance" power mode and switch SpeedStep (or SpeedShift, depending on how old/recent is your CPU) and C1E OFF further enhances the sound - you PC might not require this, do some reading

I get a very direct, dynamic, neutral and yet emotionally engaging sound with everything I could wish for: timbre, imaging, decay of notes, hard-hitting bass, airy treble.  Especially with ES60,  voices, acoustic instruments, piano, drums and cymbals/crash sound increadibly real and accurate.

Same findings on my work laptop (Fidelizer free version + TC + ES60 or 58 + Foobar) with headphones.

I have recently had a chance to listen to a DCS Bartok Streamer+DAC (the steamer section is similar to a DCS Network Bridge, which I listen to often because a friend has it).  I think JPlay + JPlay iOS app + TC/ES,  combined, have reached comparable if not superior SQ to what DCS offers in the streamer department.

For those that still value analogue sound reproduction, I find that the timbre, imaging and time-domain accuracy from JPlay + JPlay iOS app + TC/ES 58 or ES 60  are on the par with what my Lyra Etna SL phono cartridge delivers. I now struggle to justify buying new vinyl records given what the digital front end recreates.

Yes, use the default setting (Multi-User: Network plus local service) when TC setup runs.

Thanks for sharing your findings. I especially love how you describe your experience with the dCS Bartok “a hugely capable music streamer, DAC, and headphone amp”, as well as the Lyra Etna SL setup which “just does the LP justice. Any LP.” Hope you’ll be able to bring the audio PC up to date soon.

P.S. After reading Cloclo’s post, I googled the Lyra Etna SL and found Alan Sircom’s review (Hi-Fi+). The above quote is an excerpt from that review. Similarly, the other quote is from What Hi-Fi? review of dCS Bartok.

“just does the LP justice. Any LP.”

Really, a digital DAC, better than a Rega turntable, with a good Benz Micro System?

I have not yet been convinced of that, almost, close to it with JPLAY.

THANKS

Oh sorry, Pink HQ + Minorityclean

That combination of ES55+ES60 is a real killer. Best sound so far on my system. Listening to Pineapple Thief - Your Wilderness (2016).
