I decided to try Hynix ECC RAM in my single PC setup. I purchased a single 4MB stick to replace my dual 2MB sticks of Corsair. I agree the Hynix RAM has improved clarity and increased definition. It is a little leaner sounding, but that works for my setup. It's not a huge difference in sound, but very noticeable. I'm happy with the purchase.

To further the post I made, I ordered a second 4GB stick of RAM.  I installed it quickly because I wanted to test a new USB cable.  I was in a hurry and not expecting anything, but I immediately detected a small increase in clarity.  Since it caught my attention, I'm assuming what I heard was real.

JPLAY Femto Setup: Single PC (Intel S1200KPR/XEON based), Windows Server 2016 GUI, JPLAY Femto, UltraStream engine (DAC Link = 500Hz, KS, and Hibernate), Motherboard USB port to DAC. HD-Plex linear power supply powering PC. Music library stored locally on OS 2.5” HDD (2TB Western Digital Blue, 5,400RPM). UPnP control point: Bubble UPnP or fidata.

Just arrived and installed in my PC: https://industrial.a...Temp.-ECC-UDIMM

It replaces the previous generation of Apacer (75.B93H0.G000B). Amazing improvement over the predecessor

What is the model number of the new memory? I am trying to find it, but I have not been able to. Thank you.

Marcin - I saw you posted a different model in AS - D31.23185S.001.

Which one is the better sounding memory? 75.B93H0.G000B or D31.23185S.001 ?

This new memory D31.23185S.001, its 4GB variant now seems unavailable.
Would you stay with the 2x4GB configuration and use the older 75.B93H0.G000B or 75.B93GZ.G000B or switch to 2x8GB with the newer generation (D31.23245S.001)?

Finally has anyone tested the Elfidelity AXF-74 DDR3 or AXF-75 DDR4 noise filters?

Yes, and they are fantastic, imho... :)

But what do i know, i have never tested ECC Rams (yet).

In my current DDR-4 System, i am using 2x AXF-75 with

Crucial Ballistix Sport LT grau DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-2400, CL16-16-16 (BLS2K8G4D240FSB/BLS2C8G4D240FSB)

running at 2133 MHz CL 11-11-11-30 1T on my Asus P10S WS and i am very satisfied.

On my very limited budget Single Audio-PC i am using 2x AFX-75, 2x AFX-104 PXI(e) Power Filter Cards,

5x SATA-Power-Filters, 1x CPU-Fan Power Filter. Since i am not using an LPS for my PC,

together with the Seasonic Platinum SS-660XP all off these Filters are doing a very good job in my Single Audio PC.

The DAC (USB-MAX) was also a Steal.

I have still 2x DDR-3 Filters laying around in the original package.

If anybody of you with two empty DDR-3 Slots wants to test them, i only kept them to make

somebody that have use for it a nice present... ;) (feel free to pm me about it, until they are gone)

Bernie
