Hello everyone,
I hope I am not hijacking anything here. I do not know of any forum where I can get some assistance of a configuration matter when connecting to Tidal.
I have JPlay running on my iPad and have configured TIDAL.
My system configuration has the following :
Minimserver on a linux pc
<<wired LAN to a SoTM SNH10G router,>>
<<wired LAN to SMS200>>
<<SMS200 to a txUSBultra>>
<<USB to DAC>>
Bricasti M1SE DAC
I have configured the SMS200 for MPD/DLNA.
My broadband connection is a 500Mb/40Mb link and speedtest shows speeds of 526Mbps/46Mbps and yet when I try to stream a 192kHz sampled file from TIDAL it stutters a lot. There is no problem with a 96khz sampled stream.
The configuration in JPlay is for HTTPS streaming. I have tried various Packet sizes for the SMS200 in JPlay and none helped. I also turned on using a proxy for TIDAL which seems to help with 192khz sampling rate streaming but it always takes many seconds (sometime more than a minute) before any track or album gets played. This is unacceptable of course. There does not appear to be any other parameters that I can play around with on JPlay or the versions of SoTM's app with MPD/DLNA.
I have kept my version of JPlay up to date. The software versions in the SMS200 are -
MPD version 0.24.4-211
UPMPDCLI version 1.9.6-210
In case it might help, I have attached the system config screen for the SoTM.
I hope someone has come across this problem before and has worked out a way around it. I would appreciate some pointers.
