Thanks, but the VHD file is ready. For now I'm trying it from USB, it boots perfectly with UEFI and grub4dos. But I would like to boot from RAM with grub4dos... there's only one more step left. I don't want to give up here :)

Standard UEFI boot works perfectly, with the following few lines

title AudioPC normal UEFI boot
find /Win10-UEFI.vhd | set bd=
/efi/grub/ext/ntboot  %bd%/Win10-UEFI.vhd winload=/Windows/System32/boot/winload.efi minint=1
boot

The copying of the VHD to RAM starts based on the following, but unfortunately the boot does not start.

title AudioPC RAMDISK UEFI boot
find --set-root /Win10-UEFI.vhd
map --mem /Win10-UEFI.vhd (hd)
chainloader (hd-1)

I got this error message: "Selected disk does not exist"

I was thinking if I could somehow find out exactly how to access the ramdisk, maybe I could start booting procedure similar to Standard UEFI boot.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be happy to accept help.

My auto config to boot to RAM:

**********************************************************************************

color black/cyan yellow/cyan
timeout 0
default 0

title W10x64_US_LZX_1.vhd - UEFI Grub4dos SVBus RAMDisk - 25 GB

load /EFI/grub/tools/EfiGuardDxe.efi    # To disable driver signature enforcement

find --set-root --ignore-floppies  --ignore-cd /W10x64_US_LZX_1.vhd
map --mem --top /W10x64_US_LZX_1.vhd (hd)
chainload (hd-1)

********************************************************************************************

The different is your missing "--top" :

map --mem --top /W10x64_US_LZX_1.vhd (hd)

Thanks!

Does this configuration boot from ramdisk perfectly for you?

I tried with --top but unfortunately that wasn't the problem.

Could you describe on what hardware configuration works for you? Of particular interest is the type and number of drives.

I boot from USB, but I have an NVME SSD in the motherboard.

Maybe if it's not too much of a request, could I get an ISO image of the boot drive you have? Without the VHD, of course.

I can boot to RAM perfectly. I'm using NUC 11th Gen, no SSD, just USB and Network port. I load the music file to RAM for playback.

I've shared with you the folders and files of boot drive. Just create USB with FAT32 (boot drive) and NTFS.

Copy all folders and files to the boot drive.

Thank you very much! Finally, I managed to find a solution for Windows 11 using another method :) I am perfectly satisfied with the result :)
