I've emailed support but I know it's getting late over there so hoping the community might be able to help. It's 6 months to the day that i licensed femto and i got the license expired message. Naturally we have guests arriving in a couple of hours. Is there any easy fix for this? I've tried the re-install, turbo activate says all is well. Internet access is confirmed.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks Marcin, that got rid of the nasty licensing message. I did have 7D before, was there more than one 7D? Anyway I will test drive later but looks to be ok.

Edit: all fixed

Thanks,

Nick

I have also emailed support today as I am getting the same after 6 months. I was using 7D.

I have tried restarting both jplay services manually, no difference.

I have re-downloaded from Marcin's link above, re-installed, no difference.

Turbo active says successfull. Internet access confirmed.

I also had problems with license reactivation. Don't know if this will help but here’s what worked for me (WS2016, GUI mode, AO reset, Fidelizer uninstalled, Process Lasso off, CAD optimizations reversed, internet connection active, no hardware changes since first installing JPLAY 7):

  1. As advised by Marcin, I downloaded a new copy of the installation exe.
  2. I uninstalled JPLAY 7D using uninstall.exe in the JPLAY folder.
  3. I restarted the computers as required.
  4. I installed the new download of JPLAY 7.
  5. I restarted the computers as required. NOTE: I had the internet connection set to start automatically upon restart.
  6. I ran TurboActivate.exe. Activation reported as successful.
  7. I stopped and then restarted the JPLAY audio service manually on each computer (I don’t know if this was necessary as I did not check JPLAYSettings on the Control-PC before this step).

Success. No License expired notice in JPLAYSettings on the Control-PC and music playback was working again immediately and after another restart of the computers.

NOTE: Running through the same steps (except for downloading a fresh copy) with JPLAY 7D which had been on the computers for several months did not work! Downloading a new copy was required. No idea why. System/OS specific?

Hi Peter,

As I informed you via email, the error code you are getting  means that JPLAY can't connect to the licensing server.

Please open Task Manager (press ctrl+alt+del), go to Services tab, right-click on JPLAY Service & Restart.

But before you do that, make sure your PC is connected to the internet and that JPLAY.exe is not blocked by a firewall / antivirus.

Let us know if it helps.

Regards,

Marcin

Turned out to be my Audio PC which was activated offline. At 6 months JPlay stopped working.

Gave up with TurboActivate (no option to deactivate came up for me to try reactivating offline).

Connected a monitor, keyboard, mouse, long Ethernet cable, reconfigured IP to my household network, ran a single PC JPlay setup to re-establish license server validation then reconfigured all back to my dual headless setup.

Now using Arcam MusicLife and FemtoServer. Running in my new ATC SCM40A. Happier. :)

Hi, Marcin!

I also had same activation problem a few day ago.

I had "old" 7D, but it did not work,. So according to the suggestion of this page, I downloaded "new" 7D,  and the result was OK.

There may be some difference between old 7D patch and new 7D patch, I'm not sure.

There is no change log information of activation problem on the Patch Page, though there are some change log information of 7A patch to 7D patch. Thus I misunderstood that my old 7D might work fine.

So, I propose this;

1.The issue date of the "latest release"  is explicitly described on the Patch Page and/or Download page.

2.Or some revision number is added such as 7D-01, etc.

3.IF possible, change log information is provided.

Thanks.

Hi,

I got the same problem here with my audio PC, few days ago.

Activation with old 7D patch was  impossible and it was OK with the 7D patch just downloaded on the download page.

This is different. Code 28 means:

There are network adapters on the system that are disabled and

TurboActivate couldn't read their hardware properties (even after trying

and failing to enable the adapters automatically). Enable the network adapters,

re-run the function, and TurboActivate will be able to "remember" the adapters

even if the adapters are disabled in the future.

Ok,

from my part I have Fidelizer 8.4 too set  on "Purist". Uninstalling Fidelizer helped me to activate JPLAY without problem.

I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, depends what Fidelizer disable regarding to network.

Hi

Today i desided to start my journey from ws 2012 r2  ( Jplay femto , plus fideliser )  straith to ws 2019

in core mode. First I instaled   2019 in gui mode to check that drivers are working, ( no yelow warnings in device manager) and after that I reinstal 2019in core mode. Here i stoped since futher steps will take time and I will need some assistance due to my limitted computer skills .

Since the 2019 was instal on NEW SSD, I was thinking if i return the old ssd  i will be able to listen to music in meantime. But jplay femto stoped working

, I got the meassage licence expired ( code 30).  is that just  just coincidence or have somthing to do with swaping the ssd.? is that possible that swaping the ssd is reason for that.

I reinstaed Iplay femt0, run turbo activate .exe, reinstaled jplayfemto, renable network connection,  and some other advice on this thread,

but  same meaasage , code 30

I will apreciate any advice .

Thank you
