Linn Kinsky doesn't exist anymore since 4 or 5 years ago if I'm right.

Actual Linn app seems not to work with non Linn UPnP devices.

I run Kazoo and Linn App on iPhone and iPad. Also Kinsky was available for both.

@Patatorz I beg your pardon, Kazoo is effectively available for iPad but it works with open home.
In fact there is now 2 apps for Linn on iOS, Linn app and Linn Kazoo.

Yes, it works. But for daily use I prefer Kazoo.

JPLAY FEMTO is not seen by Linn App.

I don't know if I'm supposed to take that as a smile or as you probably not being ready to hear that yet. Of course, it could also be due to your hardware.

 

But I don't want to discuss this any further in the announcement of the new JPlay app.

Ich weiß nicht ob ich das jetzt zum schmunzeln oder so verstehen soll, dass du wohl noch nicht so weit bist, dass zu hören. Kann natürlich auch an deiner Hardware liegen.

 

Aber ich möchte das hier nicht weiter in der Ankündigung zur neuen JPlay App weiter diskutieren.

I’m ready for a lot of things and I admit my hardware is probably not at the expected level to appreciate the user experience of linn applications. My remark was more around the user experience, I also pay a lot of attention and at least as much as the SQ. Still using applications not proposing good experience is a pity and this is why I’m looking for Jplay iOS. Perhaps I’m wrong. Time will tell.

I’m open and ready to listen and test your recommendation. I will go through the post you initiated.

How long can the JPLAY AppStore approval process take? mConnectHD is simply a pain, searching it is like twenty years ago. I have all the music (about 20,000 albums) tagged, including artist, performer, genre, date conductor, publisher, comments, catalog number, etc. and there is almost no information under mConnectHD..

another week gone and the JPLAY app for iOS is nowhere ... if I play from the MinimServer the mConnectHD app has at least some search, if from the JPLAY Femto server (imho better sound than the Minim server) then the mConnectHD does not offer any search at all, only the directory structure is displayed . And unfortunately, given the size of my database (although it is carefully maintained and tagged), it is completely insufficient. The JPLAY iOS app was announced more than a year ago, the world premiere was announced at the beginning of October this year and it is still not available for purchase... I'm sorry

But seriously, is there a problem with the app approval process for the App Store?

Just from my prior experience at work dealing with Apple for MFI and App Store applications: Most small-sized manufacturer/brands or individuals don't really have any control/visibility on the schedule and progress. It's almost entirely up to Apple and not very transparent or predictable.

I was secretly hoping that the iOS app would be released on December 1st... it's not. The sound is excellent with JPLAY, but the mConnectHD application is pure evil, so even though I have paid for JPLAY (and Fidelizer and AO3...), I'm thinking that I'll go back to Euphony at least temporarily, it's a shame.
