Errors prevent playback when using VPN

When using the JPLAY ASIO driver with music software while using NordVPN, playback is not possible with the following error.
 
"Seems JPLAY is not running or is being blocked by firewall (try restarting JPLAY Audio Servise)"
 
If I don't use VPN, there is no problem at all.
Disabling the firewall when using VPN, restarting the service, or adding the JPLAY related exe to the VPN exclusion apps does not solve the problem.
Is it possible to use JPLAY while using VPN?

Have you tried restarting JPLAY service once VPN is launched?

Yes, I cannot play the same error no matter how many times I reboot.
Why does this happen?

It must be related to sth that the VPN software does to network configuration. Perhaps there are some settings you can adjust in NordVPN. I haven't used it, so I wouldn't know
