I use Jcat usb en network cards for 2,5 year together with Jplay and Roon.

The sound difference is big between Jplay and Roon but with Jplay I have problems.

Now I build a new PC with the new USB EX ant Net EX cards.

Still exact the same problems.

Most of the time (not always) when a track switch from 44,1 to 192kHz it stops playing and I have te restart the services and sometimes remove the usb cable.

Two different Computers with the same problems.

Sometimes I listen al evening with no problems and sometimes it happens 5 times on an evening.

Very frustrating.

I tried all the DAC link settings and prefer it on 1Hz but it doesn't help with te problem.

The usb input from the DAC is a Luckit Xmos board.

Also after reading the forum hundred of times most of the covers never show up.

I don't care about the covers but I hate that the software stops the music.

Can somebody please find out with me what the problem is.

I also used the debug software but Jplay stop after I answer some questions.

If I use hibernate or not doesn't help.

Can you please tell us the exact configuration in JPLAY settings panel? (screenshot is OK)

 

And which driver are you using for the DAC? Does it have a control panel where you can adjust latency?

I use the Thesycon (driver version v4.67.0) from Luckit.

I run DAC Link on 1000 for a long time but I prefer 1Hz.

And both settings have the same problems

For DAC Link 1Hz you need to set the buffer in driver panel to high.

I can go from 8 samples to 2048 samples.

What’s the setting for 1Hz and 1000Hz?

Yesterday I tried al settings and when I go from a track with 44,1 to a higher resolution track it crashes.

I also use Roon no problem and a friend of mine wrote an audio player and also no problem everything plays.

As a side note my friend came over for the past half year and every time he improves the software.

It's now at a level that its slightly better than Jplay.

What’s the setting for 1Hz and 1000Hz?

 

Best for 1000Hz <= 8 samples.

Best for 1Hz <= 2048 samples.

Please try 1024, 512 and 256. It has to work.

Yesterday I tried 256 and it keeps playing for now.

But how do I keep it on 256?

When I reboot it was back on 8.

Today I tried again and it stay's on 256.
