Maybe it is interesting for somebody, so I post my experience changing femto cards to xe cards.
The difference is already very clear. Much more dynamic and presence of the voices. Better spatiality. Everything sounds more natural (analogue). Until now, I always had the hqplayer upscale from pcm to dsd because pcm sounded too sharp. But in this way it always lost some dynamics. Now I can play everything without upscaling and it sounds great and the way it should be.
I can not say, what is more effective, to change the usb card or the networkcard, because I could’nt wait to test them all.
I also installed the Optimo nano.
My system sounds really very good with the “old” femto’s, but now it sounds gorgeous.
