Mine is a single PC. Jplay Femto works well with Tidal (through both BubbleUpnp and Mconnect) but no sound when playing from Femto server. Offline music is stored in a HDD attached to the PC. I have changed the parameters in Jplay Settings a lot, still no sound. Reinstalling Jplay, the same.Playing with Upnp through Foobar and Jriver is quite ok.

Could you help in this regard? Thanks

Update: No sound if playing from Jplay Femto Server as the library, but ok from Minimserver, sound sweet.

I also notice from the blow link that Marcin use Minimserver as well

Are you getting any error messages from JPLAY?

Can you browse the local files from femtoServer via Bubble UPnP app?

No error message at all Marcin. Playing with single pc was slow between tracks and the control point (mconnect) often freezed. But just changing to a dual pc system then it is incredible: a lot quicker, and much improved sound. I will monitor to see whether things with dual pcs are stable. If yes, I will definitely buy Jplay Femto. I will check if the femto server works well wwith the dual pc system.

Hi Marcin, Bubbleupnp (not Mconnect) works with jplay femto server but things are slow. So I remain with Mconnect and Minimserver. Bought Jplay Femto mins ago.

Hi Chauphong,

When you say things are slow, can you explain exactly what is slow, please.

Cheers,

Bernie

Touch something then wait for the intended to happen. Is it clear enough?

Hi @Berniek, I am now wondering about Jplay settings in a dual system. Settings in Control PC or in Audio PC will govern?

Thank you. Is it possible and advisable to connect directly Control pc and Audio Pc with a network cable?

Yes & yes. Especially with JCat NetCards (or similar). No switch needed.

Why not?

And read the "JPLAY dual PC setup" section of the JPLAY manual. I think that will answer most, if not all, of your questions regarding the dual PC setup.

Thank you. I have decided not connect 2 pc directly as I don't have fancy netcards while do have optical isolation and 2 heavily moded switches.

Onboard cards with Intel 210 chips are ok.

Dual PC sounds better and is easier to handle.
