Greetings all,

"Le Forum Indépendant de la Hifi et des Audiophiles" has a thread (Windows : JPlay FEMTO & Audiophile Optimizer & Fidelizer Pro & Process Lasso) that you might find to be of interest. There has been considerable recent discussion about Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022, how the programs in the thread title work with these new operating systems, reducing numbers of processes and services, etc. The most recent page (133) of the thread can be accessed here:

Windows : JPlay FEMTO & Audiophile Optimizer & Fidelizer Pro & Process Lasso (forum-hifi.fr)

If you do not speak French, you will have to translate it to your preferred language.

Cheers,

Bernie

Yes, I just finished testing it with my optimizations of WS2019 in GUI mode and have now included it in my optimization guide. The new link to the updated guide is in my signature.

Thank you for the update BernieK.

32Go of RAM allow a 20 processes gain for me with WS2022 GUI.

Hifi must serve the Music.

Not the opposite ;)

You might be able to reduce the number of processes further by following the tips in my guide. See the link in my signature.

Once again, Thank you BernieK

I started optimizing my Win10 LTSC server during the 1st French lockdown, after reading your guide.... and with its help.  ;)
I followed my own experiences and plan to contribute again.
The next step is to use remote scripts to manage the server or just to listen in the lightest way, with a minimum of process and latency (with GUI via TightVNC or not).
Today, to do better... I have to change my hardware.

The tasks on the server, from the command laptop.
