This short film was apparently, made by the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) in 1959. It shows how the audiophile spent his time and money sixty years ago. I love the comment about the conductor who, in a recording or Beethoven's Symphony No.5 "makes a little too much play with his wind."

A more limited but better quality wardrobe.
We have to be so careful with out wardrobe. Certain fabrics can create a static charge and that would surely have an adverse impact on sound quality!
