Yes, even on the XE card, although with the optimo 3 duo connected not by a huge margin

 

Please experiment with placement and note that 5V must be present at the USB port, so if you're planning to try it on the USB XE card, the jumper on the port the USB ENHANCER will be connected to must be installed. 

 

I use it even in my wifi access point which has a USB service port.

Guys I have just had a little play with 2 USB Enhancer and they work plain and simple.

Its the all too familiar situation you plug them in the sound seems to soften a little and you adjust and you realise its some of that digital edginess thats been removed and you get a clearer musical picture.

So far I have tried the motherboard and yes obvious one. I have also bought some USB Type B to A adaptors so I could plug them into my DAC to me that is a tip of the year your welcome.

I have 2 here wishing it was 10 to plug them into everything with a USB socket do be prepared for that and order a couple if you can

Hi, my first post on this forum.

 

I am using a NUC powered by an HDPlex 200x with an iPurifier2 DC filter.

The gain is audible.
I use 2 USB3 sockets for ethernet adapters that cannot integrate a Net Card (Femto or XE).

If I add a USB Enhancer installed on a free outlet, is it independent and stabilizes the current flowing internally?

It is therefore likely to bring a gain, similar to a change in diet?

It does not fit between a computer and a USB device (no female socket).
Did I understand the essential?

Hello and welcome  

 

It is an independent tweak that helps to remove noise on motherboard. 

 

Just connect to an available USB port and the effect should be immediate.

Hello, i received mine middle of the week and did not have time to have a decent listening session. It will come over the week end.

Do you have USB B/A adaptors to recommend. I did not find at this point of time. I would like to test on my dCS stack.

I also found these RJ45 to USB adaptors to test on a switch https://geni.us/NarhX9t - but I need more USB Enhancers haha    You can never have enough of a great HiFi tweak

I don't think the RJ45-to-USB adapters will work with the USB Enhancer. USB-to-Ethernet adapter is in fact a network interface (a 'network card' if you will), not a dummy adapter.

Today I received the JCAT USB Enhancer and its effectiveness is noticeable as soon as it is inserted into a USB port. The results are impressive on my system.
"Real and beautiful sound" says Marcin in the text of the JCAT page. Totally true, I can certify it. It is the point where you stop hearing a music recording and find yourself immersed in a musical event due to the reality with which the music flows, the atmosphere, the audience and the applause. Those details that noise masks and that appear as it diminishes with better PSUs or with the JCAT USB enhancer
After three hours of audition I had the feeling of being before a team much superior to mine. Everything is more real and pleasant.
Totally recommendable .

Today, I tested 2 new USB Enhancer on my reference setup, and the enhancement is really there, even more than during my first test, a couple of weeks before!

The first one is plugged on the router (internet box) before streaming from Qobuz.

Waow, immediate improvement:

the music is richer, detailed with a sensation of breath, a feeling of receding background noise, and the appearance of information at the edge of audible. The notes seem to have a little more weight, material.

When we unplugged it, sound turns immediately less rich, less detailed...

So, i warmly recommend to all streaming enthusiasts to place a JCAT USB ENHANCER on their router, even if it's not necessarily a location you would think OF. Maybe, the first place to be....

Then, I plugged the second one on a vacant usb port on the motherboard, for listening to a locally stored file.

The same improvements can be found in listening. For the first time, I distinctly perceive the residual breath of the amp on Stanley Clarke's bass on the first track of "the message". Not too present or too much emphasis, no, just in its right place.

Strangely, the effect seems to me to be slightly better on a usb 2 printer usually assigned to the keyboard (uniquely plugged when working on setup, detection of new usb devices having been disabled via AO 3).

During my first test, the enhancement sounded less efficient to my ears, maybe a bad day? BTW, it was plugged on a free USB 3 connector.

As I let my first JCAT USB Enhancer to a friend, I am not able to test the effect on the NAS by now. I expect I can try this ASAP, hoping for the same impact.

So, even if the improvements are not as huge as using a JCAT NET & USB XE cards, the contribution being cumulative, this new JCAT proposal will certainly allow all enthusiastic users to refine even more and better their audio computers.

I wonder if it would be possible with the USB enhancer technology, to do something similar to put in some free ATX output, for example in the PCIe one, I do not use it, to bring the cleanest energy before reaching the motherboard, as if it were an ATX enhancer.

Hello Carlos, there are filter boards available to fit in RAM slots ,PCIE slots and SATA connectors have a google search and you will find them I use one for my CPU fan with good results.
