I accidentally started playing a file while the DAC was turned off and since then I've been getting the error message AISO Init Failed, even though I don't use AISO I use KS.  Then when I click on the settings app I get a message that my license is expired and my free trial is over even though I bought the software a year ago.  Can someone help?  I've tried reinstalling both the DAC driver (chord mojo) and JPlay, and still the same problem.  Thanks.

I’d reinstall the OS.

JPLAYFemto must be reactivated every 6 months (this requires an internet connection, see "Activating JPLAY" in the JPLAY manual). If you purchased JPLAYFemto a year ago, you should have had to reactivate it once already, and this may be the end of the second 6-month period. So try reactivating it and see if that solves the license expired problem.

I clicked on the TurboActivate.exe file, but it just says the JPlay is already activated, and there's no box to check to activate online.

Hello have you checked your internet connection and tried typing in your activation code?

Kind Regards Rob.

Hi benjammin,

It would be helpful if you could provide as much relevant detail as possible about your setup (single or dual PC, optimization software being used, etc).

Are you running the Audiophile Optimizer? If so, try resetting the drivers and services via the Service Tool before you try re-installing JPLAY.

When re-installing JPLAY, did you use the following procedure?

Ensure you have an active internet connection, then uninstall and re-install JPLAY with the DAC connected, run Turboactivate.exe (you should now have to input your activation key for the initial online activation since this should be seen as a first-time JPLAY installation), reboot the PC OR stop and then restart the JPLAY.exe and JPlayFemto services in Task Manager, and only then check JPLAY Settings (do not check the settings before rebooting or stopping and restarting the services). If JPLAY is now working, only then re-optimize with any optimization software you are using.

If you have done all of the preceding steps exactly as described, then, as Thuan suggested, it may be necessary to reinstall your operating system (Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019?) and DAC driver, ensure you have an active internet connection, and then install JPLAY before installing any optimization software that you might be using. Again, this should be seen as a first-time installation and you should have to input your activation key for the on-line activation.

Hope some of this helps.

Bernie

Thanks everyone for helping.  I'm not running any type of optimizer software.  I am using a single pc setup. I tried uninstalling JPlay, making sure my internet was connected, reinstalling JPlay, then without rebooting, clicking on the TurboActivate.exe, but once again it tells me the software is already successfully activated, and I don't have anywhere to input the key I was given when I purchased it.

Did you use the uninstall executable in the JPLAY folder to uninstall JPLAY?

yes.  (also I kept the DAC on the entire time)

Can someone walk me through what the standard procedure for reactiviating  every six months?  That might help me understand what's happening.  I looked for the answer to this question in the manual, but I don't see anything about reactivating, only about activating the first time.  Thanks.

SOLVED: I simply followed the language of this post from a year and a half ago I found by searching the forum:

Hi Peter,

As I informed you via email, the error code you are getting means that JPLAY can't connect to the licensing server.

Please open Task Manager (press ctrl+alt+del), go to Services tab, right-click on JPLAY Service & Restart.

But before you do that, make sure your PC is connected to the internet and that JPLAY.exe is not blocked by a firewall / antivirus.

Let us know if it helps.

Regards,

Marcin"

JPlay works again.
