No, the prices are flat worldwide.

HI,

What are you experiences with JCAT XE after burn in times? Does it become soft, analog, or digital, etc. ?  What about realistic presence, forward vocals in mids ?

Thanks

Thanks Marcin. From what I am capturing, XE seems to be on a thin side of mid & lower mid frequencies 200-800hz which gives that fullness feeling ? Sotm for sure has that richness, but as a former owner of SOTM I preferred  Paul Pang. On the other had I felt SOTM limitations on trebles as if there were filter somewhere (PCIE version, without clock)?

IF XE is thin, then at least I would need to have thick external power cable in USB->SPDIF external converter which then goes to PCM63 DAC to get that fullness in mids ?

I also hope not to lose depth and full bass levels 20-180hz?

Any thoughts?

I'd not say it's thin. On the  contrary -  it is full and and bigger sounding than e.g. the USB FEMTO. Mid-range and bass have proper weight and inner detail.

USB FEMTO sounds a bit 'vintage' in comparison offering sharper attack.

I hope it's helpful.

Hi, yes, that helps a lot. I took "thin" feedback from the link to the forum you gave. My PCM63 DAC is a little vintage in terms of sound (version of Pass Labs D1), so it needs brightness, yet without loosing lower mids. Lower mid frequencies gives that fullness of overall presentation.

I am almost clicking order button.

I concur the same feedback. It projects a bigger soundstage and more natural mid and bass. Much more engaging, however, the obvious will be more so apparent after few hundreds hours from using.
