Also ranking of the two JCat LPS is a little bit disappointing 

 

Treble: Optimo 11/14, Initio 12/14

Resolution: Optimo 12/14, Initio 13/14

Texture: Optimo 10/14, Initio 8/14 (Initio better than Optimo?)

Soundstage With: Optimo 11/14, Initio 4/14 (Initio better than Optimo?)

Trust your own ears 

Of course, as always. But it is a better feeling when owning the best product.

 

I’m verry happy with the Optimo but I can imagine the JCat products have a sound signature similar to NAIM products. Other high-end LPS may have more a LINN-character. Both are great companies … like JCat.

I don't know exactly what do these numbers mean. Quality or quantity? The more treble the better the PSU is? And what is resolution according to Jay? I don't know and only Jay knows that. 

 

I was hoping the review will show quality gradations between PSUs. But I can't tell.

 

For me refinement is very important and actually no.1 factor when I evaluate a hi-fi product. The best high-end audio products are (in my opinion) those that do everything 'just right' and you can enjoy listening music without fatigue for many many hours. It seems trivial, but in reality not an easy task for a designer. 

 

We tuned OPTIMO 3 DUO so that it fits in many setups. During development it was evaluated by audiophiles in 10 different hi-fi systems. I think this report from a customer describes the character of the OPTIMO 3 DUO well:
