Hello

I installed JPlay after a brake. I use it with Foobar and Chord DAC. Foobar gets stuck when i try to play a music. I changed dac link and pc buffer settings from low to high but none of combinations seems to work. I use classsic engine (less demanded). Pc with Windows 10 and recent updates. What may be the problem?

Hello everyone how are you?

Can you please tell us the exact configuration in JPLAY settings panel (screenshot is OK)?

Have you tried JPLAYmini too?

Regards,

Marcin

Dear Jplay Team,

I am using Jplay since three years and it´s great. But since changing to Jplay Femto there are some problems. It also works stable with local files on NAS but streaming from qobuz is a little bit instable.

PC: Windows 10, Jplay Femto

DAC: ifi IDAC, actual firmware

my configuration:

single PC, classic, bitsream 32bit, volume -12dB, DAC Link 100Hz, Xstream 1000, throttle and hibernate OFF

player:

Bubble UPnP on Android using Quobuz streaming 16bit

There are following Problems.

  • music stops after some tracks in playlist
  • tracks will be repeated
  • end of tracks will be repeated
  • player stops or has gaps

Everything wirks fine with NAS based playing and it has been working with Jplay 6 also with Qobuz streaming.

Thanks in advance, Lars

Hello Lars,

What is the connection speed of the network adapter which connects to router? I'd highly recommend 1Gbit.

Marcin

Hello Marcin,

Networkadapter runs with 1Gbit, LAN is RJ45 cabled. Fritzbox working as a router is connected with 51,3 MBit to the internet. If I am checking download speed everything is OK.

Regards, Lars

Thanks for the info!

I'd try with UltraStream Engine and Throttle ON. Also, USB Buffer to lower value.

Best regards,
Marcin
