Bug head Nontallion 12.38 (PINK HQ Qicktoss 3.25)

(Previous version "package_20201115_Bughead_x64.zip" = 12.36 / 3.23)

Instead of running MC as a service, just wondering if setting its priority were making a difference?

Let's say we're extracting the executable to C:\MC\MinorityClean.exe first, then we could create a batch file (e.g. MC74.bat) just like this

start "" /realtime "C:\MC\MinorityClean.exe"

Alternatively, simply use either Task Manager or Process Explorer etc.

I've used Process Explorer for a number of years now to play with priority settings. I can confirm that setting MinorityClean to "Realtime" is beneficial, and do so for every release. I have also been playing with affinity settings in the last few weeks -- so far I've isolated Svchost instances of network-related services and programs (namely, DHCP and nsi) to Core 0, as well as audio-related ones (Audioendpointbuilder, Audiosrv, audiodg.exe, etc.), with everything else on the remaining cores. Crucially, however, I have assigned MinorityClean's affinity to all cores, including Core 0, in order for it to work its magic properly across the CPU and not just on one core. These affinity settings, so far, do seem subtly preferable to the default affinity assignment of all cores for all program/service instances.

I wasn't too keen on 74 - a bit fatiguing compared to 73.

75 seems to be very good.

No comments yet, how unusual. My initial listening places it slightly ahead of 75. But is still rolled off at the top end and less full toned than 69 which remains my favourite so far. I'll keep listening and see how it develops.

It appears that along with MC77 there has been an update of Rewrite data file from v3.83 to v3.84.

MC75<MC76<MC74

MC77: Wow. MC77 is SUPER exciting and addictive. When I switch from 77 to any other MC, it feels almost like the stereo image collapses. MC77 have INCREDIBLE stereo imaging. It is incredibly detailed. It is more present and have more highs than previous releases. The sound is fuller and feels "more intensive". I can hear reverb tails I never knew they are in the recording. Everythig is so beautifully lifelike and organic. I feel like I could touch the sounds. 77 is HUGE step up in many ways and another of the releases you definitely should not miss

Thank you.

It prints beautifully in Rewrite and MC.
But camera gurus are looking for better quality printing.
I will spend some time researching and developing a super high quality printing utility,
using MC77 and Rewrite technology to create a printing utility,
which Marcin seems to be interested in using for photography. ... 2021

Good question! My guess is that MC gets executed and accessed from time to time during the server’s up time, that’s why MC executable is locked while the PC is up.

In the same way you do MinorityClean updates.

1) Kill the MC (and possibly also sexe) with task manager

2) Apply RewriteData

3) Restart your PC or manually run MC via sexe
