The king is dead, long live the king!

Until now I refused to replace my beloved MC288 from my system and my NAS...ES38 is a true and superior successor and my new personal reference for what will come!

Dear Mr Orya! Whatever you'll do in the future: keep the sound of ES38 in mind and thank you for this one!!!

I concur. ES38 is sounding wonderful in my system.

Thank you Oryaaa for this great update and thanks again to HungryBear for TC20

ES38 provides incredible transparency, depth and width of field. ES37's midrange peak is gone and the bass is muchh better defined and controlled without bloat. One can feel the air around every instrument and voice.

This is a stunning achievement. A hundred thank you's, Orya-San.

When compared ES38 to my favourite combo of MC300/LE62 they are very close indeed (with cpu priority Above Normal throughout). In my system ES38 is very slightly less open, separate or dynamic, this is more obvious on the default priority (Low). I doubt I'd notice any difference without careful back and forth comparisons, possibly more listening will show additional strengths/weaknesses.

Given how much I love the MC/LE combo, ES38 is very good indeed.

I only heard this once 20 years ago in a normal living room from a perfectly tuned 200K 2ch system. If ES38 can achieve this, unbelievable!

Will listen to the ES38 later today.

I have yet to download the MC300/LE62. Maybe ES38 at the control and MC300/LE62 for the audio might be a good combo.

A track that presents this wonderful soundstage and texture is The Cranberries "I Still Do". It has a huge, atmospheric wall of sound with a long decay. Delicious.

That's a good idea, I'll try it. My controlpc can't run MC300/LE62 so I've been using MC296/LE58 on it.

UPDATE: It doesn't work for me, strangely it sounds too cute and loses some of the breathy character of the vocals.

Have tried ES38 and its a bit better than 37 although not particularly that different on my system. There may be a hint more detail and pace, but it definetly is not as musical or as analogue as MC299/ LE61 on my system.  Slightly closer to it musically than ES37 was.  I preferred ES 37 by itself to all 3 or any combination of them. If I didn't have 299/61 i would definetly go with ES38, but it just doesn't sound quite as good.  Once again thanks Igor for enlightening me on that combination in the first place.

Happy listening,

VonBrechts, as a fellow devotee of MC288/50 I never thought this day would come for you, and perhaps for me. I will tryout ES38 early next week and look to discover if for me it is a step forward. :-)

Can someone help me. Which is the easiest process for install. I need the simplest way of understanding. I also already have Audiophile Optimizer and Fidelizer and Minority Clean and ES38 installed on my pc. ES38 when unpacked is and iso file. How is this implemented. Running windows server 2019. Thx.

Hello Lazz and welcome to the Forum,

To implement the unpacked iso file, right-click on the iso file, left-click on ‘’Mount’’.

This will create a new folder labelled “DVD Drive (E:) RWESART_2022_1124_17’’.

Left-click on the caret (>) beside that folder to reveal the sub-folder ‘’Rewrite Data 4.84’’.

Left-click on that sub-folder to reveal a list of files including ExerciseStabilizer38.exe.

Copy that file to a new appropriately named folder (eg, ExerciseStabilizer38) on your C: drive.

The best way to install ES38 is to use the TrustedClean 2.0 installer developed by HungeyBear. TC2.0 can be downloaded from the links in post #3909 on page 196 of the ''Pink HQ + Minorityclean'' thread in the Computer Audio Forum here. Note that your virus scanner may detect TC as a false positive so be sure to switch off your virus scanner before downloading TC. The same may be true for MC, LE and ES depending on the versions you download so be careful.

Copy the downloaded TrustedClean20.exe to a new appropriately named folder (eg, TrustedClean20) on your C: drive.

Left-click on the TrustedClean20.exe and select ‘’Run as administrator. This will install TrustedClean 2.0 on your PC. Choose to install it on the C: drive in the ‘’Program Files’’ folder. See the screen shots in post # 9 in the ‘’installation order AO3, Fidelizer Pro, Minority Clean, Process lasso’’ thread in the Computer Audio Forum here. They will show you what to expect as the program runs.

In C:\Program Files\TrustedClean there will be a subfolder designated MCLE.

Copy the ExerciseStabilizer38.exe file into MCLE.

To have TrustedClean 2.0 install ExerciseStabilizer38 as a service, navigate to MCLE in Explorer, right-click on the bat file ''!Start TrustedClean - after update.bat'', left-click on ''Run as administrator''.

This will then run TrustedClean 2.0 again, and you will have to select from the options shown in the screen shots for post #9 in the ‘’installation order AO3, Fidelizer Pro, Minority Clean, Process lasso’’ thread referred to above, but this time ExerciseStabilizer38 will be installed as a service.

Installation can be confirmed in Task Manager

Hope that helps,

Bernie

YES, ES 38 runs fine, with JRiver, really, on a single PC. Super nice, by JRiver standards.

But, on my dual Xeon Pc set up, with Femto, the 288/50 on the audio is still the power. But like the ES38 on the Control.

Have a nice evening...

I just managed to load the OS to the RAM from UEFI BIOS http://jplay.eu/foru...on-guide/page-6

Time to return to MCLEES!

I've compared the below:

1. ES38 on both Audio/Control

2. MC300/LS62 on both Audio/Control: The sound stage is correct, good layering. More important more analogue and coherences

3. ES38 on Control/MC300/LS62 on Audio: As (2) but every instruments and vocal within the sound stage are very distinctive, full and more ambiences.

4. ES38 on Control/MC299/LS61 on Audio: only a brief listening, close to (3), I can live will both before very very intensive listening session

As long as you installed Fidelizer BEFORE the Audiophile Optimizer you should be good to go. If not, and I know it's a pain, I would uninstall Fidelizer, reset the Drivers and Services in AO via the Service Tool, and then reinstall Fidelizer followed by running AO again (because installing Fidelizer AFTER AO restarts some of the services switched off by AO). Installing TrustedClean and then running it can be done after installing Fidelizer and running AO.

Having problems after install of ES, TC.

I left things as is and booted up my pc to see what happens after playing around with it the night before. Well pc boots up fine as normal, Jriver and the fidelizer pop up comes on stating its applying its settings, all good. Then i go into task manager and Fidelizer, and Minority Clean and sexe is in there but then after a minute or two they disappear from the list. And also then notice that none of my desktop is displaying other than JRiver all black screen. Help please so confused. I was going to remove and reinstall Fidelizer if issues continued, but now no desktop is displaying. Also it doesn't ask to input the password on startup.
