Hiroyuki has had a number of periods now in the last couple of years where he's stated he plans on retiring the project, usually due to illness, but usually ends up re-booting after some period, sometimes with a new program or revision of an old one - so we'll see, I suppose.

Hi eur2,

many thanks for the links.

In fact on this webpage http://www.mics.ne.j.../MinorityClean/ we can download this zip file: http://www.mics.ne.j...19_Rev8_x64.zip.

We can find the same versions VI, VII and VIII as in "package_20190914_Bughead_x64.zip" plus the version I.

Only versions VI, VII and VIII seem dedicated to SQ improvement, isn't it?

Yes blawre, this the link I've used but by my side this link is pointing to this: http://www.mics.ne.j.../MinorityClean/,  not to the zip file you mentioned (MinorityClean_with_PRO_x64.zip).

What this dull olive link gives you now by your side?

Strangely I am getting the same as you now.

Its a pity because I had a bit of a comparison this afternoon and in my system the MinorityClean.exe in the withpro x64 zip file definitely out performs VIII.

Base is much firmer and controlled , inner detail is lovely.

Not sure how I can post the .zip file for everyone.

Do you wait 10-15 minutes before playing each track?

Is it possible to damage the CPU or motherboard?

does it work with windows server 2019 core?

No, I use it for 3 days now without problem, CPU and mother board are still OK on both computers.

As I wrote in a previous post, CPU or motherboard damage could happen if we make wrong modifications in the code of this program.

Note there is a version IX till today.

I will try it.

"MinorityClean IX x64 (complete loop specification) (EXE 17KB) (higher sound quality Lv.4) (Stabilizer 288)"

Minorityclean.exe v.IX is showing up as suspicios file by Avast.

To run it I had to add to exceptions.

This did not happen with previous versions of minoriyclean.exe

thanks. I have downloaded and run the file and it says it is running in task manager. I was confused by the bit about using sexe to register it as a service. do you understand this and if it is necessary, can you explain what the first line means?

looks like C:sexe64, but I am not sure what the symbols before sexe and after 64 are?

does it only need to be run once or does sexe make sure it runs every start up? does AO kill it?

sorry for all the questions.

I ran MinorityClean.exe and liked it so I tried automating the start-up using sexe64. I copied MinorityClean.exe from the revision 10 folder into C drive then ran sexe64 to set it up as a service. In the dialog box for sexe64 when I typed C:\sexe64\MinorityClean  the \ characters were displayed as ¥ Yen signs as in Yokota's page. This worked perfectly so now MinorityClean runs as a service automatically on start-up. The sound quality improvement is impressive.
