Have read on several forums (including this) that it is a phenomena, but it might just be adjustment of the ears. I don´t know  :)

I also have to revise a previous statement:

MC299/LE61 is better than ES35     (TC 2.0 on both PCs)

(A bit OT but check jplay-linking in C:AO/tools and link on both control and play PC! Really nice SQ improvement (If  someone missed))

OIC, and thanks for the follow up!

Btw, I loaded the music files to the RAM, and played the music files from the RAM, it brought the SQ to another level. On second thought, it doesn't sound logical! On third second, probably reading the music files from the RAM were faster than the HD and less moving parts therefore the SQ was better.

I was unable to locate this link " jplay-linking in C:AO/tools", are you able to provide the link, thanks?

What do you mean by "burn in time"? Play the music for few days? few hours? Don't turn off the computer even without play any music? Once you power up again, you need "burn in time" again for the TCES to sound best?

This is the first time I heard that RAM memory need to burn-in. Or let the TCES burn in the hifi system? Or burn in "my brain"? Thanks!

My first try on TCES this morning on dual OS RAMDisks, i.e. straight to TC 2.0 and ES35 on Audio-PC, . And I RAMDisk the TCES again from the OS RAMDisk, no sure is this the right way?

Yes, indeed the ES35 is too high resolution to me, ES35 is ruler flat, yes, I agreed. maybe I'll add MC288...and try ES34 later

After six hours of play times, the ES35 (Still audio PC only) sounded silky smooth, especially the high frequencies, beautiful highs! Probably my downstream digital gear was able to reconstruct the digital to analogue well.

This morning I tried MC299/LE61,  (Still audio PC only), can't tell the differences between the ES35 and MC299/LE61, will wait for six hours later.

C:/AO/Tools JPLAY-DualPC-example_config

I just opened it on both my PCs and experienced a SQ improvement.

If you view this file by right-clicking on it and selecting ''Edit", you will see that it consists of a list of registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JPLAY7. However, this list does not correspond to the current Registry settings for JPLAY FEMTO under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JPLAY7 on the Control-PC. It appears to be from an earlier version of JPLAY and is shown in Audiophil's ''Computer Audio Best Practices Guide" (2013-2019) as an example of how to optimize the JPLAY registry settings. I suspect it was not updated to reflect the JPLAY FEMTO registry settings.

As such, it may actually have no effect at all on the sound quality of JPLAY FEMTO. Nonetheless, I would urge caution if you are considering trying to open or merge this file. It might (I stress might) alter JPLAY FEMTO registry settings, especially since two of the registry keys have IP addresses for the Host and the Audio-PC that almost certainly differ from the actual IP address of your Host and Audio-PC.

Okay I recant!.    ES 35 is quite good on it's own and even a bit better with MC 299 and LE 61.   And while certain detail and clarity might even be enhanced, it just doesn't sound as harmonically and tonally right, lacks a bit of warmth.  Bust mostly it lacks the PRAT coherence and just simple ease of listening and sounding organically complete.   So ES 35 is out of the executable file for now and possibly for good!  Back to 299/61.    Oh yes and right now Benjy Keating, Palmistry, is reminding how gorgeous the upper mids through high frequencies are with this combo.  Clear, airy, subtley sweet and properly resonant.   Oh my!

Happy Listening,

The ES35 and 299/61 are very similar, the 299/61 is slightly more analogue, allows you to listen to music for as long as you like without drilling into your brain  :D  .

Very true! That was my impression yesterday after six hours of listening. I love it!

I revisit the ES35 today for finalisation.

Hi bobby1945 and welcome to the Forum,

To get the MC299 and LE61 executables do the following.

Open the link to the archive (https://mega.nz/fold...FfDUVaxn-zLNmQ ) to get the list of MC, LE and ES files. Navigate down the list to Rewrite_data_4_51_MC299_LE61_X64.7z. Right-click on it and select Download and then Standard Download.

The 7z file will download. Unzip the downloaded file with WinRar, 7z, 7-zip or whichever unzipper you use. Left-click on the opened Rewrite_data_4_51_MC299_LE61_x64 folder, left-click on the Rewrite data 4.51 x64 sub-folder and it will open to give you a list of folders including LemonadeElitest 61 x64 and MajiorityClean 299 x64. All this works, I just tried it to confirm.

Left-click on each of those folders in turn and you will see the LemonadeElitest61.exe and MajiorityClean299.exe files, respectively.

Hope this helps,

Bernie

ES36 is the new reference point. Its better in every aspect then my previous ES31.

Still ES34 has the best vocals. We can hear the throats, and the lungs. ES36 is mouth only and a slight metal fragment when singing (but better then ES31 even then).

I tried TC2.0/ES35/MC299/LE61 on the Audio PC, leaving TC2.0/MC35 on the Control PC and listened using DSD64 rips of the Mobile Fidelity SACDs of 'Kind Of Blue' and 'Filles De Kilimanjaro'. Initial impressions are promising but I need to do so more listening before making a final decision.
