In my system 237 is not a winner. It moves my impression sitting in the front of the band to quite a ways back in the hall. The soundstage is smaller except front to back, where it appears deeper. The wonderful bass and treble of 236 are much reduced and consequently the music is darker. 236 is more  spacious and breathes more freely.

I really wonder how 236 can be bested, but I've been pleasantly surprised before. Maybe next time...

That's surprising. MC 237 is now running for 8 hrs on my system...the differences to MC 236 are subtle but there. And on my system the impression is completely different to yours...I wonder why?

See what MC 238 has in store for us...

Hi,

I haven't tried MC 239 yet.

I've tried MC237 and MC238 but I still prefer MC236.

MC237 is not bad but not so good than MC236 on my system.

I don't like MC238 which sounds thin with a lack of basses among other things on my system.

I hesitate to try MC239 as it is based on MC238.

For me is MC238 better than MC236. There is much more "life" in it.

MC236 was very very good, but a little restrained in comparison to MC238

But in these days it is a litte stressful to test all the new Versions

I tried mc 239 here is my first thoughts:

mc239 sounds a little bit thicker after mc236, also the detail retrieval is more pronounced in mc239, the only drawback I hear on mc239 was lack of airyness a little bit..

when listening pink floyd another brick on the wall pt2. the kids chorus sounds more airy on mc236 I can able to hear echoes from the room where the kids singing together on mc236, but on mc239 the echoes coming from the room was a little bit less.

mc239 presents darker background and detail retrieval is very good, just needs airyness of mc236 I think.

I suspect one day, LemonadeElite will surpass MinorityClean both in performance and sound quality, great to see the development of this project

I confess I don't understand the difference (and the result) between the two approaches : MC and Lemonade ?

Specially for old CPUs. Maybe without AVX support.

239 have incredible front-to-back depth, compared to 236. Not a huge fan of 240

Old CPU with DDR4 RAM?
I wonder if this also works with DDR3 RAM?

System doesn’t matter - if you have mine.

I use FX8350 with DDR3 - it works with Minority.

My Control-PC is based on XEON E3 1275L V3 with DDR3 RAM. All MC-versions run without any error (even some versions create an unknown error indicated by a blinking LED on motherboard).

And every MC-Version has an impact on sound quality (I don’t see a clear direction from one version to the next version, but thar’s me). But I’m not sure if the effect of MC with “older” CPUs is what Oryaaaaa expect, because MC is designed for newer CPUs with DDR4 support.
