Hello Bernie

Please do not delete those, OK? Thank you :)

Best,

AudioPhil

Hi AudioPhil,

If you read my post again, rather than suggesting it would be OK to delete the "System32" and "SysWOW64" files I indicated that ''I'm not certain what they are required for, but I would keep them.'' Sorry if the meaning was not clear.

Cheers,

Bernie

No, you get five activation keys with one license. You would use two activation keys for the Control and Audio-PCs (one key each) with three left over.

Good Morning

No you don't. One AO License contains five activations. So you can use AO on five machines in parallel if you want to, that's fine as long as the hardware belongs to you. 5 Activations are given exactly for scenarios as yours, one or multiple dual-pc setups, or just to be able to change hardware from time to time or do experiments with different hardware setups. Once the 5 activations are used up one can buy additional key packs of two activations. The activations are hardware-bound, so if you followed the instructions from the PDF guide carfully you can use one activation for an unlmited amount of times on the same hardware giving you the freedom to format and setup your system from scratch once a while without the need for a new activation-key :)

Hope this helps.

Very best,

AudioPhil

A few days ago I asked if there was a trial version of AO3, I didn't get an answer. So I bought AO3 and the result - well spent money, I thank the author for an excellent product. I'm running with JPLAY Femto + FidelizerPro8.9 for now on singlePC with WIN10 LTSC, I'll try dual PC at the weekend

Hi AudioPhil,

Wondering if an updated version of the AO that supports Windows Server 2022 is now in the pipeline? Eagerly awaiting...(I purchased AO 3.0 earlier this year but tried Windows Server 2022 first and decided not to go back to Win10 or earlier server versions, hence still have all AO licenses unused )

Hi dequad,

In post #196 in this thread Audiophil stated:

''I'd love to offer AO 4.00 ten year edition by mid next year around AO's 10. birthday. Things are in the works!

The Beta version of AO 4.00 will be available down the road this year for current AO 3.00 users.

Server 2022 will be included for sure and if possible with reasonable efforts Windows 11 will be included as well, but cannot guarante the Windows 11 part yet.''

Cheers,

Bernie

Good Morning amolan

Your licenses are into place since a few days, you should have received an email about it. Your activation counter is at 3 of 5 so everything was/is as it should be. Just go on and generare a new activation.key, you will then see that the counter has been adjusted for your key-pack.

Hope this helps to clarify how this works.

Best,

AudioPhil

Hi bgladdy,

Do you have Fidelizer Pro installed? I had the same sort of problem when Fidelizer Pro was installed. If you do have Fidelizer Pro installed, try uninstalling it and see if that solves the problem.

If you do not have Fidelizer Pro installed, the easiest thing to do first is to try running AO directly from Explorer or Task Manager as follows:

If AO 3.0 installed correctly, you should see the ''AO'' folder on the C: drive. Using Explorer, navigate to and left-click on the AO folder to open it. You should then see the ''audiophile_core.exe'' file in the right-hand panel. Right-click on that file and select ''Run as administrator'' to run AO 3.0.

Alternatively, open Task Manager, left-click on ''File'', left-click on ''Run new task'', left-click on ''Browse'', navigate to the ''audiophile_core.exe'' file as above, left-click on that file, left-click on ''Open'', and left-click on OK to run AO 3.0.

If neither approach works, I suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling AO 3.0. You should be able to use the same activation code again. To uninstall AO 3.0, follow the instructions on page 27 of the AudiophileOptimizer Setup Guide (https://www.highend-...setup-guide.pdf). Then reinstall AO 3.0 and try running it again.

Hope something here works for you.

Thank you, I do not have Fedlizer installed.  This is a brand new install, in fact I have reinstalled Windows now three times.  Nothing is installed but a USB driver and JPlay.  There are no errors in Device Manager.

AO is indeed installed in the default location, root folder of the C: drive.  I have tried running directly from the AO folder with administrator priviliges as well as via Task Mgr all with the same result.  Error: cannot find specified path flashes very quickly and AO shuts down.

I have also tried now to downgrade to v2.2.  It responds with error activation already in use.

Hi bgladdy, after completely uninstalling AO 3.0, and installing AO 2.2, have you tried uninstalling AO 2.2 and reinstalling AO 3.0?

I think so, but not sure.  I have now tried so many different things I'm getting quite confused.  And frustrated.  Today I reinstalled Windows again using the EVAL copy from the link in the manual.  It gave the same result.  I'm not new to AO, I've been using it since v1.  I'm suspicious that this is some strange activation issue.

Tomorrow I'll try Server 2016 to see if AO will activate.  My issue with this however is that I want to run at least my audio computer in core mode and AO will switch between GUI and core with Server 2012.  I have not been able to get a working install in core mode without using GUI first.  I could not figure out some tasks such as enabling Windows audio and second network card without the GUI.  Is there a wiki or instructions somewhere that explains the process, not just the Jplay/AO specific tasks?

Hi bgladdy, perhaps an email to support at Highend-Audio PC might be worthwhile since this is an AO problem?
