Hi,

Audiophile Optimizer is available!!!

I've just bought it to upgrade AO2.20 on both computers under Windows 2016 Server Core + Fidelizer 8.4 + JPLAY7 Femto (Control PC with RoonServer + squeeze2upnp running JPLAYFEMTO and audio PC running JPLAY7).

What a sound!!!! I didn't expect so great improvement...

Basses are tremendous...

It's difficult at this time for me to describe this sound.

How is it possible?

The combination with JPLAY 7  and Fidelizer 8.4 is just incredible.

Great job Phil!!!!!

Hello Folks

The upgrade from AO 2.xx to 3.00 is a major upgrade and therefore not free like minor updates in between are. The cost is 37.50 CHF for users of AO 2.xx and 50 CHF for users of AO 1.xx. Check out the new change log! :) The AO 3.00 license contains another FIVE new activations for AO 3.00

Users who bought or upgraded to AO 2.20 on April 1st 2019 or later get AO 3.00 for free!

And you can get yours here: https://www.highend-...pc.com/download

For new users the journey starts here: https://www.highend-...pc.com/ao-order

Best and enjoy it,
AudioPhil

Recently installed AO 3.00 on top of my 3.00 beta .

No problems and to my ears it sounds even better. Or am I wishful thinking?

And I bought AO3.0 today
The sound quality is just fine, because I'm a beta tester, that's what I expected.
I tried 4D. Maybe I couldn't try them all, which could be better combinations. Which option do you like?

My personal favourite is 4D, it gives a lot of body and smoothness to the sound, very rich and lifelike. It's like exchanging a transistor amp for a tube amp.

But to answer your question it is important to know what you want to achieve? More accurate and neutral would mean to change the D to an A for example.

After o have used AO3.0 final ver,
then I can only say that Phile has done an excellent job again,

which filter combinations that sound best are entirely up to other equipment you use,

As I have Tube equipment in the upper class,
some filter combinations may sound too soft,
but as I said,
Sounds are VERY personal

Control PC - 1A

Audio PC - 2D

That  is the best choice for my ears.

AO3 provides a very audible improvement over 2.20. It installed on both PCs without any hassle ... Always a bonus for someone like me who lacks high level computer skills.

Thanks Phil

I was testing the AO3beta so far. Just've installed the official AO3 and wow!!! Huge improvement over SQ. I've never had so much clarity in my system. Especially now when audio pc runs without networking (just one adapter is running for JPlay connection to control pc) and the services are reduced to minimum. Phil, you are a magician! Keep the excellent work and bring joy to all my fellows audiophiles.

Indeed, the final version is a bit faster and more powerfull than the beta was.

As I have not been able to play DSD256 or higher with a Windows dual PC setup and my Lampi/Amanero DAC, I am now using a Windows control PC connected (with fiber connection) to a Linux audio PC with GentooLinux, with great results. It even plays DSD512 using HQPlayer with no problem.

Recently I had to re-install the Windows control PC, and at first used it without AO, listening to some voice in my head that said "what difference can it make if it is only on the control PC and optically isolated from the audio PC?". However, I did buy the new AO3, if only to support Phil. This morning I installed and ran it on the control PC, and no doubt that little voice in my head was wrong. It is surely a big improvement! So I am extra happy I bought it.

This is not end of story: Amanero just published a Windows driver that should be able to play up to DSD512, so I will try again with dual Windows PC's, with or without JPLAY, depending on whether that works with the higher DSD resolutions.

Help Please. I am running 2012 R2. Single PC with Fidelizer and jplay. Installed ao3 over ao 2.20. Installed with OS in gui mode. All went ok. Then went to core mode after restart. Ran st to change to core mode. Ran ao again and got to "install k streaming" hit yes and got message to run in cmd "setup.exe -source"

Don't know what this means. Any idea please.

Ao in ultimate with 2012 r2 in gui and minimal, did not get this message and install completed ok.

By the way, in gui still sounds great. More punch and sound is a bit more open and free. Slightly bigger presentation.

Hi

This is perfectly fine and working as designed. You need to insert the Windows Server installation media and then start setup.exe with the parameter -source.

Please see page 5 of the new PDF guide for detailed explanation 👍🏼

Best,
AudioPhil

I'm sure it's me that is getting this wrong. I have original server installation media and can see on the USB drive. I can't get it to run from the point when installing KS. In gui I can double click but it says "install" and I am worried it will overwrite/do a fresh install.

Could you give a bit more detail please where I'm going wrong. Sorry if i am missing the obvious.
