Hello
Still in the process of selecting the parts and software for my third audio file server.
With regards to the MS licences, in your experience is it best to buy the basic WS 2016 or WS 2019 'Essentials' server licence. This version would work for me as its cheaper, has less features and does not need a separate CAL licence like the Standard version does. However 'Essentials' it does not have remote desktop feature but guessing I don't need that if I use Jplay two PC set up?

Seems MS have added a lot of clever and useful new features to 2019 version which I doubt I need for audio, however is this the one feature that is of interest to us PC audiophiles, perhaps? Getting a little beyond my tech knowledge now
