I install JPLAY FEMTO to try its sound quality. All I get is a cracking sound when playing any song. I tried all DAC link settings, but no luck. The best I could play is with 5Hz with has minimal clicks and pops. I setting I am missing?

Update: Xtream/5Hz/250 plays without click or pops. But takes almost 3-4 mins to start playback of a song.

Update: Erratic playback. When I play a song, previous song that was played earlier plays, sometimes in loop....But the sound is fantastic in FEMTO!

A detailed description of your setup (hardware, software) would be helpful for us to help you.

Which DAC do you use, what is the PC spec?

This is my 2nd setup, so I want to try FEMTO in this setup. WIndows 10 Pro/Core i5 PC connecting to HRT Music Streamer II+. I cannot try with my primary DAC due to placement of my 2nd laptop.

The problem always is in your audio driver, not in JPlayFemto.

Jplay 6.2 plays fine though with same setup. Problem only with Femto.

If you have a USB Audio Class 1 DAC, please set UAC1USB entry in regedit to 1 under Computer\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JPLAY7 key

Restart JPLAY Audio service or reboot afterwards and switch Engine to Classic in JPLAY Settings panel

Absolutely right. My setup has been running JPLAY FEMTO, AO3 B36 wonderfully for weeks. All of a sudden, there're pops/cracking sounds today without any known changes or reasons. Resetting AO3, reinstalling audio driver on AudioPC, running AO3 again, and life is good again. Thanks for the good tip.
