I am about to retire my audioPC and get a replacement audioPC to be running along with existing controlPC. Should I be worried about licensing or just install and activate the new audioPC as usual, as long as JPLAY FEMTO is only installed on two PCs?
Good question Thuan! I'm about to do something similar but will be retiring both of my old i5 laptops. They will leave the service of my system with full military honours, followed by a 21 gun salute! They have done well but it's time to move on to something better. I presume that I can request resetting of my licences for JPLAY Femto when I get my new PCs. I don't think I have requested licence resetting in the past year so I should be OK.
Would appreciate your feedback Marcin. Thanks
You'll also need to speak with AudiPhil, as his Audiophile Optimiser 3.0 which you seem to use, is activated against your current hardware.
Based on my experience, the current JPLAY license key must first be deactivated for the two PCs you are currently using. This should be accomplished via an email to JPLAY Support (email@example.com). Once this is done and the key has been effectively disassociated from the current PCs at the JPLAY end, you will receive instructions for using a key to activate up to two new PCs.
If you have only ever used one PC, and so the key has only ever been used to activate that single PC, you should be able to use the existing key to activate a new or second PC.
With respect to AO, you can access up to five keys for your current copy of AO. The necessary information/instructions are on page 6 of the current AO manual.
