Marcin: “If Kazoo is so important then you may try converting JPLAY FEMTO into OpenHome renderer via BubbleUPnP Server. Here is the guide how to do it: BubbleUPnP Server”

I installed BubbleUPnP Server on the Control-PC.
In the tab “Media Server” I unchecked everything, in the tab “Media Renderers” I checked “Create an openHome renderer” and “Gapless playback”.
Till now everything is fine and no errors.

In Kazoo I only see “My Music MinimServer” and the message “Waiting for JPLAY Streamer” and “Waiting for room”

Clicking on “Waiting For JPlay Streamer” I can choose “JPLAY FEMTO Room” and everything works.

Did you see JPlay Femto Server appearing in the tab media server?

Yes. Sorry, I edited my first post.

In BubbleUPnP Server In the tab “Media Server” I see two “JPLAY femtoServer” (one on Control-PC and the useless one on Audio-PC). I unchecked both.

In the tab “Media Renderers I see both too and give them different names. Checked both.

In Kazoo I tried which one is the right one.

Of course it will be much easier when you first kill the process on the Audio-PC.

System doesn’t matter - if you have mine.

Marcin,
thanks for the trick with BubbleUPnP Server. Wasn’t aware that I can use it to generate an OpenHome.

Now it works like before. I’m quite happy.

SO is still better than with JPLAY 6.2.

I need some time to compare it with the native JPLAY FEMTO 7.0.

Again: we’ll done!

Check this out: http://jplay.eu/foru...ussion/?p=45327

I've bought a second hand Samsung Galaxy tab 4. Installed Bubble UPnP and everything came to place. My four external HDD's are visible, just the way they were with minimserver and Kazoo. Coverart and all - visible. I am on KS Ultrastream 1000Hz and play everything from mp3 to dsd128 without any hint of interruption, everything is loaded very quickly. Just some time is needed to scan the whole library the first time.

Many thanks to JPLAY TEAM!!!!

This is more than I was hoping for. Brilliant job guys, indeed!

Hi Taxman2, I followed your suggestion and bought a secondhand Galaxy Tab 4, everything works perfectly. I had been using a Xiaomi Mi A1 phone but  BubbleUPnP would fail after approx 25 minutes. I was able to set it not to stop while charging.Galaxy Tab 4 is faultless. JplayFemto sounds superb too. Thanks for a good tip. KM

JPLAY FEMTO must be in the same subnet as your remote device. If more than one network adapter is installed in the PC with JPLAY FEMTO, please enter the IP address of the network adapter which connects to your home network in the femtoServerIPaddress entry in regedit under Computer\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JPLAY7 key.

Please set the femtoServerIPaddress, reboot and see if it helped

Regards,

Marcin

In this thread we’re talking about Bubble UPnP Server (on a PC to use Open Home Standard instead of UPnP) and not about Bubble UPnP (on a Android Tablet as a Control Point)

;-)

Is the format of music tracks wav or flac?
Is your music library on a nas or a pc?

All WAV for PCM files , easily converted from FLAC using dBpoweramp. Also quite a lot of DSD. Everything stored on external hard drives.

For any Windows 10 users, for artwork to display on BubbleUPnP tablet are there any essential Windows services? No matter what I do I can't get artwork to display, but I have a fair few services disabled.

Have you tried setting femtoServerIPaddress?

Volume control via Bubble UPNP is not possible. It works with all my other local renderers (Heos, Sonos, Foobar setup)

Ok, I give up. You can discuss in this thread whatever you want. Everything beside „Bubble UPnP SERVER“

Please do not give up, Ben Webster, I like this idea to convert JPLAY FEMTO to OpenHome, and I tested it this afternoon. Overall, I liked it very much. I can always see the album art on a note PC dedicated to display it with Kazoo. The sounds seem a little less brilliant, but can be said more "elegant and exquisite." Please do not forget to set up "Proxy Server," which will make a significant difference in sounds as known in JPLAY6.2.

Caution: When switching between UPnP and OpenHome, "Activation expiration" happened. Connecting LAN cable to audio PC and restarting it seems to solve it. AO does not have to be reset. This happened twice, and I am not sure, if this is due to real "trial expiration," or not.

I do not recommend creating a proxy with JPLAY femtoServer. It adds overhead and is not good for sound quality
