Please use this thread only for reporting issues.

The most common one is the problem with activation and license expired. Troubleshooting:

Please make sure that time, date and zone are set properly, internet connection is working and if antivirus/firewall is not blocking JPLAY - best to disable during activation. All network adapters must be enabled too. For Windows 10 please check if privacy setting is enabled:  "Let apps use my advertising ID for experiences across apps"
Also in ethernet properties of your internet connection make sure that ALL options are ticked, not only Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

If hyper-v is enabled it will not activate. Disable it in Control Panel under "Turn Windows Features on or off"
If Virtualization in BIOS is enabled, activation may fail too, so please check that too.

If all above are checked please reboot and see if it activated

If not, please open TurboActivate.exe under C:\JPLAY and see what it says

Hi,

Setting clock value from registry doesn't work in a single PC setup with JPLAYmini. Remains at 0.5ms at all times. Tried stopping both JPLAY services from task manager, then changing values in registry and restarting the services or rebooting. Also went back to 6.2 which is without issue.

Ideas?

Edit: solution here

Yes.. stop, change, start.

Could it be due to 6.2 registry leftovers?

Not likely, it's in a different key.

Hello Marcin,

activation and license expired, on both control and audioPC with Windows server 2016 in core

I reset back audiophile optimiser before installation of JPLAY femto how do I access ethernet properties of my internet connection to check that ALL options are ticked, not only Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

I’ve posted this in another thread but have copied here as some additional background information.

Some help required I have windows server core mode on ControlPC and AudioPC with Audiophile optimiser.

I have uninstalled Fidelizer, and reset Audio optimiser before installing the Trial Femto on both PC’s

Now on the Control PC I can see in JPLAY Setting the AudioPC it was automatically discovered and

Playing via KS : PS Audio USB audio 2.0 output

I’m using the paid app Bubble UPnP I can read the library on the control PC I have both the JPLAY FEMTO and JPLAY femtoServer active on the remote. I get know sound when I play tracks

AudioPC on installation I set the music folder to C:\user was this wrong

In Audiophile optimiser I disabled JPLAYStremer

I assume I have the trial version running I had both PC’s connected to the internet during installation each time I do restart JPLAYSetting I get the window License has expired

Thanks

John

Right. Although not identical maybe it helps you what thuandb posted:

even though the JPLAY clock is left untouched in registry, it keeps ending up 15.6ms from 0.5ms in J Settings. How do I make it stay 0.5ms?

Hi John,

for my part finally I get activation of the trial period working enabling “Client for Microsoft Network” and “Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver" in Ethernet Properties of my Ethernet card. Marcin suggests to disable these items to optimise JCAT network cards so these item were disabled on all the network cards of my audio computer.

Here is what I've exactly done:

I've disconnected my RJ45 cable  from my Jcat Card and connected it on my onboard network card. I've enabled DHCP on it as there were an static IP adresse set, and in Ethernet properties of this card I've enabled these two items, “Client for Microsoft Network” and “Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver".

Apparently you have Windows Server 2016 core you must use powershell.

You can use these links which can help you to do that:

Hi Marcin can you advise cmd how I get to Control Panel -> Network using windows server 2016 in core. excuse my not knowing this

Thanks

  1. Open CMD as Admin

  2. Type the following commands (lines) one after another:

    cd C:\Windows\System32\wbem

    mofcomp C:\Windows\System32\wbem\NetAdapterCim.mof

    mofcomp C:\Windows\System32\wbem\en-US\NetAdapterCim.mfl

The first command navigates to the directory where the files need to be fixed. The next 2 commands attempt to fix the necessary broken files.

Now open a PowerShell command prompt (which is different than a "cmd" prompt), and run the following command:

Get-WMIObject MSFT_NetAdapter -Namespace root\StandardCimv2

If you're on Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 (or equivalent Windows Server version 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, or "Windows Server"), you should get a full list of your network adapters whether they're connected to the internet or not. If you're on those Windows versions, and that PowerShell command gives you an error, then you still have WMI corruption. Contact your system admin and tell them to fix it. Or re-install Windows for the easiest fix.

BubbleDS Next is OpenHome. JPLAY FEMTO expects UPnP: please try with Bubble UPnP or one of the other apps mentioned in the manual

Hi, I've problem using JplayFemto.

Hi grunter, the reason is, that you use BubbleDS Next, which supports only Open Home Standard as JPlay 6.2 does. Now Jplay 7.0 supports only Upnp, so you have to use a controlpoint app, which supports this, e.g BubbleUpnp from same manufacturer. Then everything will work fine. Good luck.

Jplay FEMTO trial now works on SinglePC Server 2016 core from DAClink 1Hz to 1000Hz with AO + ProcessLasso.  But i am experiencing every track loading time from 25 to 40 seconds before its starts to play with BubbleUpnp.

Do you maybe have BubbleUPNPserver proxy enabled? If so, try disabling it
