My Eitr arrived today. It’s running kernel streaming with JPLAY and WS2016 GUI. Going to try WS2016 Core in the next couple of days. GUI with the shell changed to Foobar is really an improvement. Makes me not need core mode so much...

I had really high hopes of using the Eitr, as I have the Schiit Yggdrasil. I used AO's driver installer function to no avail Audio Phil, any answers? I use WS2016 core mode because it sounds WAYYY better than GUI, but I have been really bummed that I could not install the Eitr driver in WS2016 core. Windows 7 has NO PROBLEM installing the driver for Eitr. WHAT GIVES with core???? WHY??

This was with the improved AO with the Device Manager functionality added.

Anyone have any ideas or help, I would really appreciate it.

Yes. That’s the process I used to get my Eitr to work as well; both 2016 GUI and Core.

JPLAY Femto Setup: Single PC (Intel S1200KPR/XEON based), Windows Server 2016 GUI, JPLAY Femto, UltraStream engine (DAC Link = 500Hz, KS, and Hibernate), Motherboard USB port to Phasure Lush^2 USB cable into a Schiit Eitr SPDIF converter. resolved the issue by forcing drivers in windows server. Amazingly windows server almost eliminates eitr requirement

I am using Windows Server 2012R2 in GUI mode,Iplay femto, fidelirer.
I have followed the link from this thread and recommendation from YouTube how to install Eitr driver.
I have managed to install alternative driver only (Schiit USB Gen2 Drivers 1.03 (For 7 and 8). I have tried the win 10 driver, which makes more sense to me, but it does not work.
With alternative driver and in jplay settings I am getting this:
1. Eithr :wasapi
2. KS: speakers
I can play music with both settings and it sounds good, but I am not sure if that is correct driver and that the kernel streaming is working properly?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thank you Marcin. I was expecting to see something like Eitr: kernel streaming in jplay settings, not KS : speakers.
Know I can use ultrastream with maximum 125 value, previosly with paul pang card i was limited to 45. Still to see if higher value translate in better sound.
Thanks again.

AO 2.20  works great on 2016

Etir work flawless on 2016 gui and sound better than 2012 core

But the Eitr uses Gen5 usb board. The drivers on Schiit page are for Gen2 and Gen3 only.....

All of those drivers work with the Eitr and sound the same, but the best sounding version is the one Nobody linked above.  Schiit used to have Gen5 labelled drivers, but changed that for some reason.  To be honest, Schiit doesn't want to be in the driver business, so they only want to support OS's that don't require a driver installation.  All of the drivers on their website are dated 2014, and 2015.
