Hi nirugavm,

The shutdown button in WS2016 works fine here. Please explain what problem you're having.

Cheers,

Bernie

As I understand it, the power off button works with Windows Server GUI, but not with core.

The button does not work in core, does not work in GUI, but works in Windows Server 2012 R2.  Motherboard ASUS J3455M-E mATX

The Power Off button, accessed via Ctrl-Alt-Del, works for me in WS2016 GUI Mode.

If it doesn't work for you in GUI mode, the problem may be specific to your system. Are you able to try re-installing WS2106?

I have the same problem with a Supermicro A1SAi-2550F mobo. Power Off button works with WS2016 GUI but not Core; works fine with WS2012R2 GUI & Core. I was hoping that the latest update of AO (2.20) would have a fix, but this doesn't appear to be the case for me.

Mechanically, the power button does not work, unless you hold it for 5 sec. Should open sconfig and choose option 14.

Alternatively. a simple batch file to shutdown the power can be run from Task Manager. PM me if you require more details and a batch file to power off.

Hi BernieK,

The batch file you suggest to power off from TM would be brilliant and much appreciated, particularly since long button press doesn't work in core either. Many thanks in advance.
