That's why JplayMini, with its simplicity, can play more easily. NIC setting is optimized so power setting has been turned off. I'm not sure how to check on SSD but at least no suspicious setting was found.

Having come this close, I'm not giving up.

Alternatively,

SinglePC: Windows 2016 Core + AO + JPLAY + BubbleUPnP proxy server
MediaPC: Windows 2016 GUI + MinimServer + music library

Kernel Streaming, UltraStream, 700Hz, 0.01secs, Hibernate mode ON, 0.5 ms clock

I am using Kazoo and its interface is what I like more. Very easy navigation.

Yes, the latest version sounds really good. It's my alternative player beside Fidata. I'm still curious about BubbleDS and going to try after getting MinimServer back to track.

I'm not losing hopes. Reinstalled singlePC clean, left everything at default except for USB ports (turned off) and AO optimization. MediaPC stayed the same. Default JPLAY settings at 10Hz 10sec Xtreamsize 1000 Hibernate off, Clock 0 (0.5ms). Control point Kazoo, BubbleUPnP, external transcoding. Songs played fine to the end.

Next: Hibernate on. Songs played fine to the end.

Next: Changed to 1Hz 10 secs. Songs played fine to the end.

Next: Changed to 170Hz 0.01 secs. Songs played fine to the end.

Next: Changed to 350Hz 0.01 secs. Kazoo refused to playback. Increasing Xtreamsize to 2000 then 5000 (max) didn't help.

Next: Changed DAC Thesycon driver's latency from Safe to Minimum latency. Playback resumed immediately at the above 350Hz 0.01 secs. Xtreamsize was at 5000.

Next: Xtreamsize changed to 1000, music still played fine.

Next: Changed to 700Hz, everything else stayed the same. Songs played till the end.

At this point, I'm happy enough to mark the current configuration as a baseline. More fine tuning is on the way.

Thanks Marcin. Now that the 700Hz 0.01 secs MinimServer playback is under control, an Android tablet will be next.

What's the xtremesize got to do with ultrastream engine? I thought that xtremesize is for xtreme engine.

XtreamSize has no effect with UltraStream Engine.

Yes, Xtreamsize is no longer in the equation. Next step will be fine tuning NIC.

Windows Server 2016 GUI singlePC, JPLAYSTREAMER, MinimServer, BubbleUPnP proxy server, AO, 700Hz 0.01 secs. KS, UltraStream, Hibernate on. NIC and DAC drivers optimized to the max.

SQ is gorgeous, even richer than JplayMini in core mode which has been my go-to SQ. Last night, most songs stopped at about 20 seconds before the end. This morning, it played perfectly. I'll be damned!

P.S.  If the success continues, the issue must have something to do with the M.2 SSD because that's where I made the change this morning.  Will keep my fingers crossed over this weekend.
