JPlayStreamer shows up as "JPlayStreamer" at the DLNA control point.

Is it possible to change its display name? E.g. by registry entry?

No, it's not settable via registry - btw, why would you want to change the name?

Thanks Josef,

I can use JRMC as a DLNA-Server and JPLAYStreamer as a Renderer. This works by controlling both with BubbleDS Next from my Android phone.

But I cannot push audio files from within JRMC-GUI to JPLAYStreamer directly. Other DLNA-Renderers (e.g. TV) are automatically shown in JRMC (if correspondig option is set), but JPLAYStreamer is not.

The idea was to change the display name of JPLAYStreamer to make JRMC to bahave better.

Ah I see :)

I don't think that would help though: the reason is likely that JRMC simply does not support OpenHome standard (a kind of 'superset' of DLNA) :)

Josef,

initially I thought that as well,

But JRMC works fine as DLNA server in combination of JPlayStreamer as renderer. Why shouldn't JRMC work as a control point too?

JRMC can stream to UPNP/DLNA devices, but will not work as OpenHome control point.
