There're two new parameters that seem interrelated, SR-IOV and Virtual Machine Queues. They default as Enabled. Recently I've changed to Disabled and like it there.

Where do you find these options?

Seems OS dependent.  These options don't show up on my Win 10 PRO build.

I'll have a good time reading and enjoying his review.  I'd say, "The JCAT Femto, network and USB, cards have been my game changers".

P.S. Roy mentioned the LPS 1.2 powering JCAT NET card with 1.2A max current. Luckily and out of saving $$, I've been powering FEMTO NET and USB cards using iFi Audio Micro iUSB3.0 and Nano samething with surprisingly satisfying results. Just checking on their specs and pleased again to find Micro provides 2.5A max, Nano 2.1A max, quite within the comfortable zone of JCAT cards.

Yes, that's the driver I'm using.

Also checked the PROSet Adapter Configuration Utility and couldn't see those specific settings, though there are one or two differences from the available settings via Device Manager.

"Low Latency Interrupts" being one of them....

Can the Femto USB card be powered by a battery without regulator?
I'm a radio control plane flyer, and use 2 cell Li_fe batteries, which are 6.5v.

Hi,

It should not be any problem with 6.5V. But in the context I can mention that LTO batteries to this purpose are slightly better than LiFePO4. LTO have lower internal resistance (ESR) and also lower cell voltage. LTO are really good to directly feed such 5V devices without regulator. I have experimented with this for years now and recently I also tried to use Ultracapacitors. And to combine LTO with Ultracaps was a big jump to even better SQ :D

Hi Marcin  Can you confirm that  the NET cards are in Stock please?

Also what is the allowed input voltage range to the ext input,  I believe you started before that it could be between 5-9 Volts is that correct?

thanks

James 108

Hi James,

We will receive the cards this week. We sent tracking numbers already, so that we can dispatch all orders quickly without further delay. The demand is bigger than ever.

Regarding power supply requirements, I never recommended 5-9V. Only 5V is supported. Please see the full specs here: https://jcat.eu/prod...net-card-femto/

Regards,
Marcin

thanks Marcin   I think you said about about the Electrolytic being rated at 10 V and that anything less that should be fine.  I will stick with 5V  :)

Where would you recommend using just one of these cars in a two PC setup?

My Control PC is a my regular PC  with SMPS.  the Audio PC is the Xeon E3 1225 V6 with ASUS P105 WS and LPS   JPLAY with AO on both PCs

thanks

I'd not recommend going above 5V, because it will get very hot and this may shorten the card's life. The card is already quite hot at 5V.

In dual PC setup, if I have to choose, I'd recommend using the card in Control PC.

Regards,
Marcin

Hello Marcin
One stupid question about bridged direct mode from server (i plan to have one built using jcat nic card) to sotm 200ultra.
Does it work only if server is windows or can it work also with daphile?
