Hi,

I am using bubbleupnp to stream Qobuz to jplaystreamer  using twin win2012 servers, both in core mode using AO, one as Control PC and one as Audio PC. Firstly, let me say how impressed I have been with the sound quality up to now, both streaming 16-bit and playing my local 24-bit downloads (purchased from Qobuz) using minimserver/streamer (up to 24/96).

I am interested in 24-bit streaming from Qobuz so have added the hi-res sublime+ demo playlist to my subscribed playlists (the idea being to test the hi-res streaming before subscribing to either of the sublime options). Playing any of these tracks results in nothing but fairly consistent white noise, even though 24-bit playback is selected in the bubbleupnp settings for qobuz..

Selecting playback via local renderer on bubbleupnp however, produces perfect playback on my Android device, indicated as flac 44.1 24 bit, so it seems the issue may lie with jplaystreamer. I realise that 24-bit track file sizes are larger but I believe bubbleupnp (wireless android) acts as a controller and the music itself is sent direct to the Control PC (wired), so bandwidth over wireless vs Ethernet should not be an issue!

Correct or not? Has any got this working? Any tips or thoughts?

Cheers,

Pete

Currently streaming is supported only for CD (16/44) format - We'll look at adding 24/96 in a future update if there's sufficient interest.

Many People in France are using QOBUZ Hi Res Streaming.

BTW, QOBUZ is now proposing to all his customers a brand new subscription allowing Hi Res streaming on all their music catalog.

So, more and more people will need JPlay improvment allowing HR Streaming.

Using a Qobuz Society subscription, I told Marcin about this a couple of month ago.

same thing here !

so disapointing as I've been using AO 2.20 with Jplay streamer and Bubble DS

Only solutions now:

ws2012r2 - AO with qobuz desktop - but this means no remote like bubble

or

W10 - openhome renderer and bubble ds

I really hope you'll be able to bring Jplay streamer to 24/192 which is what we get now with qobuz streaming

Hi Josef, you know i'm waiting since some months for the hi-res streaming of qobuz with jplaystreamer: before this new 24 bits streaming it was already possible to listen on qobuz site the hi res files that are been purchased. Possible, yes... but not with jplaystreamer... but maybe in a short future?...

:)

Personally, It would not be shocking to pay for this new functionnality, especially if it is optionnal.

Thanks for thinking about that. :D

I'm looking forward to Hi-Rez streaming of qobuz with jplaystreamer too.

And also an integration of streaming services directly in Kazoo...

+1 for the support of high res in qobuz. When I like some album I buy it in hd and than...snap...crash :( have to use jplay mini to listen which is not convenient.

Velopl: if you download the track from Qobuz it should play just fine (unless it's in WAV format in which case it should also play fine once tags are fixed via e.g. foobar WAV->WAV or WAV->FLAC conversion....)

In any case nothing should 'crash'...
