Just thought I'd share with fellow JPlay users:

I am using a 2PC system to run Jplay.  My DAC/Preamp is a Prism Sound Orpheus, which is pretty decent.  Recently, I decided to try Jplay's Bit-Perfect Volume Control (at around -18dB,) leaving Orpheus at almost maximum volume.  I have found that this setting gives me a very nice sound, I can hear more dynamics of what the musicians are trying to do, and for louder passages with chorus or orchestra, they no longer sound noisy.  The image is much clearer too.  If the recording is too loud on average, I just dial my Orpheus volume know down a bit.

This has been a very good experience for me, thought I would share with other music lovers here.

Thanks Josef and Marcin!
