Just curious if there are benefits to SATA II SSD's over SATA III SSD's.

I have seen some talk that SATA II is better, and that smaller drives are also better than larger drives.

Does anybody have experience with this?

Thanks.

-Randy

P.S. I have also read that SLC drives sound better than MLC drives..

It depends on what is supported by motherboard and which sata cables are used.

My preference is for SATA II (3Gbit/s), but it is system dependent. SATA III (6Gbit/s) sounds a bit lighter/thinner.

The same goes for network speed in a dual PC setup: 1Gbit sounds lighter and more airy than 100Mbit. And 10Mbit offers darkest sound.

Yes, SLC sound better.

Regards,

Marcin
