after a few months of not using my jplay setup i cannot get it working again

always get the above error from the settings app.

further, after restart of pc, I must close the settings app via task manager and re-start it bevor I can get it to produce this arror at least.

.... I did re-install twice now, including manual cleanup of registry.

Network is dedicated lan cards on both PCs with direct connection and manual ip-4 setup.

Switch to single pc mode on control PC via registry entry (0 --> 1) does not help either, only the ip in the error message changes to 127.0.0.1

I also used my admin account in the jplay services to no avail.

somehow the settings app is thinking that the jplay service is not running, but it is

pls help.

On my audio-pc jplay settings is working just fine. It is also win server 2012 r2, but with Audiophile Optimizer.

The control PC is my home server with windows server essentials package

best regards

Dieter

Do you have any audio devices on controlpc? There must be at least one audio device present. Otherwise JPLAYService will not start.

Marcin

I am able to ping the audio pc from the control pc.
Telnet was not installed, it is now. It did not solve the problem however.

Even in single pc mode I get the error. For details see  https://onedrive.liv...thint=photo,png

Hi Marcin,

that was it. no audio device was installed, as I removed the ASIO-Bridge / HiFi Cable. I remembered as soon as I read your most valuable input. ... now it's working again :-)

Vielen Dank!
