Hi!

Currently I am using a dual streamer setup(WS2012R2) with JPlay 6 and AO 1.3. I mostly listen to Tidal through ASIO bridge. For local files I use JPlay mini which sounds better.

I want to update both streamers to the latest version which brings me to the following questions:

- To get the best quality out of Tidal should I use BubbleDS Next? Is this Kernel streaming or still ASIO?

- Is it okay to first install WS2012R2, JPlay, AO, Process Lasso and Fidelizer Pro or is this the wrong order?

(The reason I am asking is I want to run my audio pc in core mode and this will make it harder or impossible to install PL and Fidelizer without UI?)

Thanks!

Ah, I just found a partial answer for one of my questions regarding PL:

The “Install Kernel-Streaming and MediaPlayer feature will make sure the GUI of Process Lasso will also fire up fine in core mode.

If one has already optimized the Setup using AO prior to installing Process Lasso, it is recommended to do a full reset using ServiceTool before installing Process Lasso. Once Process Lasso is successfully installed, one should do a full run with AO again.

Yes, BubbleDS Next will work directly with JPLAYStreamer for equal or better SQ over JPLAYmini.

KS or ASIO is not specific to TIDAL, it applies to any player or source - Most people prefer KS with ULTRAStream.

Hi RubenV,

You could install both PL and Fidelizer from a command window, but I would recommend using Q-Dir for file management in core mode. QDir is an excellent program, is freeware, and can be obtained here: http://www.softwareo...=Freeware/Q-Dir

It will install in core mode (from command window) and then can be used (in core mode) for file manipulation and to install programs that will install in core mode, including Fidelizer.

Cheers,

Bernie

Thanks for your reply Josef, much appreciated. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the BubbleDS part. This is only for Android, right?

I tried the Kazoo server and JPlay was shown as "playback device" so that part works.

Hi Bernie,

Thanks a lot for the recommendation! That will save me a lot of time making sure my spelling of the needed commands is 100%.

Best, Ruben

Scanning through the forum I noticed that someone used Tidal through Softsqueze. I will try if I can get it to work with the newer Squeezeplay or a similar program, which would work together with JPlay. I am getting there :D
