Hello,

We are excited to announce the launch of JCAT, JPLAY Computer Audio Transport, a sub-brand of JPLAY dedicated to hardware components. We strongly believe that using our line of carefully selected products will help you create the ultimate PC audio transport and get the most out of JPLAY.

JCAT launches with 3 products: JCAT USB cable, JCAT LAN cable and JCAT SATA cable. All products are available to order now from here and JPLAY customers can purchase them at special price of 299EUR per cable (regular price is 349EUR). Products are now in stock and first orders are shipping!

Looking forward to first user reviews :)

Cheers,
Marcin

Hi We should be getting feedback on the cables soon, as the first orders head out. Can I kick things off by asking some questions? I'm curious about the sata cables. Do you gain more from using them on music drives as opposed to o/s drives? And how about if the drives are already connected via a sotm sata filter? And finally what is the gain relative to the ethernet cable?   Thanks

Hello,  It's best to have jcat sata cables on both OS and music drives, but higher gain is on OS drive. Sotm sata filter is not related, cause it filters only sata power line (jcat sata cable carries datal), so you'll get benefit anyway.   In my opinion the gain from upgrading sata cable is bigger than from swithing ethernet cable, but both are important. If I had to decide which cable shall I replace first, it'd be n the following order:  1) sata cable 2) usb cable 3) lan cable Cheers, Marcin

Thanks Marcin, it must have been interesting trying the cables out Are the sata cable gains similar on the control and audio machines, or greater on the audio one? The reason I am asking is that my control machine has 3 SSD

Gains are similar on both controlpc and audiopc, but I'd replace on OS drive in audiopc first.  Cheers, Marcin

Marcin, Is the SATA cable available with an option for things like a right angle connector?

Hi Ted,  Unfortunately right angle connectors are not possible with our solid aluminum plugs. We could make a custom cable for you if you're interested, but without alu plugs. Cheers,  Marcin
